Is Captiqo free?
Captiqo offers a free trial with basic features including bilingual subtitles and word translation. Free users have daily translation limits. Subscribe to unlock unlimited translations and premium features.
Which browsers are supported?
Currently supports Chrome browsers.
Do I need to create an account?
Yes, you need to sign in with your Google account to use the extension. After signing in, you can enjoy bilingual subtitles, word translation, and cloud-synced vocabulary features.
Why don't some videos have subtitles?
Captiqo relies on YouTube's own subtitles. If a video has no subtitles or only auto-generated ones, translation quality may vary. We recommend videos with official subtitles.
The subtitle/translation panel doesn't show up — what should I do?
Try these steps in order:
1. Refresh the page or reopen the video
Sometimes YouTube doesn't fully load the extension UI. A refresh usually fixes it.
2. Make sure you're signed in and your quota isn't used up
If you're not logged in or you've hit the free quota, the panel may not appear / work.
3. Check the extension setting: "Show subtitle panel"
Open Captiqo settings and enable "Show subtitle panel", then refresh the video page.
Can I use my subscription on multiple devices?
Yes, your subscription works across multiple devices. Just sign in with the same Google account and your data will sync automatically.
Is my vocabulary data secure?
Yes. We use secure cloud services to store data, and only you can access your own vocabulary.
